This is 16Mhz Arduino version of SimpleOSD for the DIY OSD project on rcgroups. 

The boards coming with DIY OSD v0.14 firmware loaded.

Requirements:

• A serial (TTL) connection between your computer and SimpleOSD OPEN. Most of Arduino users using 5v FTDI cable or any USB to TTL cable for that.
• Latest version of Arduino Software for your operation system.
• DIY OSD  source codes for modifying or uploading.

Steps of Loading the Boot:

• Run the Arduino Software
• Open DIY OSD code (File>Open)
• Select right com port from your computer (Tools>Serial Port)
• Select right target device (Tools>Board>Arduino Pro or Pro Mini 5V,16Mhz with Atmega328)
• Connect the your serial cable to serial port of SimpleOSD OPEN. (Ground to Ground, Rx to Tx, Tx to Rx)
• Press the load button of software and wait for "Binary sketch size: XXXX bytes (of a XXXXbyte maximum)" text.
• Power on your OSD immediately.
• Arduino Software will detect your device (SimpleOSD OPEN) when powering on and it will be load the firmware into the processor. It takes 5-20 seconds. Then you will see the text like "Done Loading"
• That's all.

 IMPORTANT: Dont use Desktop computer's RS232 serial port as TTL serial. It is not TTL.
